We know there are folks whose summer scheduling is more about beach vacations and packing the kids off to camp … but over here we’re gearing up for summer tree nut conferences. Here’s what we’ve got on the books for the next few months: if you’re attending one of these events, make sure to find our booth and meet our specialists — we’d love to give you a personal tour of our latest analytics tools and hear what management issues are top of mind in your orchards this year.
Oklahoma Pecan Growers Conference
June 12-14
Ardmore, Oklahoma
If you’re in town for the first day of the Oklahoma Pecan Growers Conference, catch the pecan management short course, including sessions on insect and disease management. Later in the week, we’ll be watching for research presentations on aphids and spring freeze cycles from Oklahoma State University … and taste-testing Kanza, Pawnee, and Native pecan varieties.
Texas Pecan Growers Association Conference
July 14-17
Frisco, Texas
The Texas Pecan Growers Association likes to get creative with this one, from an after-hours “Murder on the Pecan Trail” mystery dinner party to a “Pecan Pairing” program that matches growers facing similar management challenges … not to mention some Texan-sized raffle prizes. We’ll be at booth number 13.
Nut Growers Society Annual Summer Tour
July 31
Albany, Oregon
Sponsored in part by our friends at Pacific Nut Producer, the Nut Growers Society Annual Summer Tour includes a heavy equipment show and breakout sessions such as class on general water law.
